Prior to joining the firm Mr. Murphy was a student attorney working with the University of Nebraska College of Law in both the Civil Clinic and Entrepreneurship Clinic where he provided Pro Bono legal assistance. In his capacity as a student attorney with the Entrepreneurship Clinic, Mr. Murphy prosecuted trademark applications, filed copyright registrations, formed legal entities and provided legal advice to clients seeking to protect their intellectual property rights. As a student attorney, Mr. Murphy had been an avid defender of entrepreneur's intellectual property rights, hosting seminars to provide inventors with information to avoid losing their rights to a patent.

Hobbies and interests

As a former collegiate rugby player, Mr. Murphy enjoys staying in shape. During the warm months you might find him jogging around one of the many lakes in Minnesota or paddle boarding on Lake Calhoun. Mr. Murphy was raised in the South, but he is always looking to try delicious Midwestern food. He also enjoys Spurs Basketball, science fiction novels, Netflix and movies based on comic books.
